Lead Installer, Deployment Includes Sites in Iraq and Afghanistan
Positions available immediately as a Lead Installer of Nortel SL100 PBX Telephone switching systems on the MTS Installation Team with job sites in Iraq and Afghanistan when needed, as well as other sites domestically and internationally.
You will be asked at times to these regions for a period of 3 to 4 months. You will live on base the entire time and be provided an attractive compensation package while working within theater. Employment as a Lead Iinstaller includes assignment in less hostile areas as well when not deployed.
Term: Deployment duration varies with task lengths.
Duties: As the Lead Installer, you will be responsible to ensure the Nortel SL100 PBX installation stays on track by assigning the installers you are provided to the tasks required to bring the project to completion. You will be required to perform and mentor junior installers on the proper way to install PBX equipment, including all peripheral equipment such as batteries, supporting racks, running cables, proper cable splicing methods and wire wrapping. In the lead position, you will be expected to provide weekly status reports to the MTS management team at a minimum, and always apprise management on anything that might have an impact on the schedule.
Experience: The lead installer must a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in the skills noted above. Prior experience on Nortel SL100 platform installations is a must for this assignment.
Education: Minimum high school or equivalent education required.
Salary ($): Dependent upon experience. The installation team members are also paid differentials based on what area they are asked to go, including per diem payouts for that area.
Jobsite Location: MTS installs PBX systems at military bases across the globe. Installation team members may be based from their home location and will be asked to deploy as needed; therefore relocation is not a requirement for this job.
